Undercurrent is a magazine focused on Tasmania’s music.

We love Tasmanian music!

We also recognise that not enough people are aware of what’s around, so we shine a light on all Tasmanian music: the artists, the industry and, most importantly, the community. We seek out the best- and the least-known artists from all genres.

Part of our charter is to also support local writers, photographers and artists.

None of this comes cheap, of course, so your membership goes a long way to ensuring people are paid well for their work.
